2021 Honda Odyssey

The 2021 Honda Odyssey has arrived in Canada with the same family friendly vibe and a bunch of restyled and added features including the world’s first Rear-Seat Reminder System. Here’s what’s new for the 2021 Honda Odyssey:

Honda’s designers ran their sculpting tools over the “Ultimate Family Vehicle” for the new model year, which is on sale now, adding some exterior styling upgrades like a redesigned lower front fascia and fog light housings, which are standard on all models save the LX. The LED lights framing the blackout grille and chrome top strip are now more powerful and efficient on all trims as well. And on the back end there’s a new gloss-black trim beneath the rear window, mirroring the chrome strip along the front.

The interior now benefits from an upgraded center console with a cord management system, a second-row seat configuration that folds completely flat and is easier to remove than before, offering more convenient seating swaps and extra room for cargo. On the third-row seats, there’s now grocery bag hooks mounted to the back.

In a world-first, Honda has introduced the Rear-Seat Reminder System, which functions to remind drivers to check their rear seats before exiting the vehicle. If the Odyssey senses there’s a little one in the back, it’ll sound an audible alert and send a warning message to the driver’s display. And on models with the Touring trim package, the Rear-Seat Reminder System teams up with the Cabin Watch to display a video image of the rear seat on the Display Audio screen.

The mid-cycle refresh to the brand’s popular minivan also includes upgrades to the radar system, which now includes pedestrian detection and adaptive cruise control that works in stop-and-go and low-speed traffic.

All models will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 making 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.
